2-1-1 Bay Area is a program of United Way Bay Area
Provides afterschool program offering tutoring, homework help, academic workshops, and counseling. Prepares students to graduate from high school ready for college. Students also receive support to apply to and enroll in college. Once in college, UP! provides scholarships and case management to support student success.
Eligibility
Open to 6-12 grade students from Latino families with a recent immigration experience and attend San Rafael City Schools. This year, our students attend Davidson Middle School, Venetia Valley K-8, San Rafael High School, Terra Linda High School, and Marin Academy.
Visit during program hours. Canal Alliance also gives San Rafael City Schools applications for incoming sixth grade students to fill out. Applications will only be handed out when space is available.
Canal Alliance alerts San Rafael City Schools if there are any openings in the UP! Program.
Documents
Grades from the past two years, a teacher recommendation (included in application form), most recent state test (Caaspp and ELPAC) scores.
Fees
Set program fee $100 per school year
