Advocate for 211 TODAY
Elections are over and Congress is back in session for one final week before the holidays. Before new members of Congress are sworn in, in January, the “Calling for 211” bill has one last chance to get passed by the Senate during this “Lame Duck” session. YOU can help get it out of committee and to the Senate floor for a vote by contacting your Senators! Tell Senators Feinstein and Boxer that you support 211 and urge them to talk with the Chair of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and Senate leadership to pass the bill. We’ve made it easy:

Click to find your senators’ phone numbers.

Give 211 a try!

Learn firsthand how great 211 is—try it out by calling today! Here are some examples of questions you can ask:

  • Where can I donate clothing?
  • Is there an after-school program near my child’s school?
  • Where can I find volunteer opportunities?
  • I’m trying to find a parenting class. Can you help?
  • Where can my elderly mother find an adult day care program?

Community outreach is the number one way to connect people in crisis with the services they need. 211 relies on individuals and community organizations to spread the word about 211. Download our 211 flyers and post them on bulletin boards at your office, school or other community places.
